5 Steps to Better Health
Standard Process 21-Day Purification Program

Do you know someone that struggles with healthy eating? Is this person you? Making positive changes to your diet is challenging and requires work and dedication and can be a challenge.

1. Education

Not everything you hear on the internet is true. With everyone giving health advice on websites and through social media, it is hard to know what is true. When taking advice from an internet website, make sure you know their intentions (i.e. trying to sell their product or service). Also try to find the authors education and credentials. Listen to speakers on nutrition and search out nutrition resources. If you do not know where to look, ask your provider for resources.

2. Read

Labels can show you a bleak picture of what is in your foods. It is important to read what ingredients are in each product and in what quantities. It is surprising how much sugar and added sodium are in foods you would not imagine. Salad dressings can have added sugar and sodium.

3. Eat Omega 3's

Omega 3's can aid in whole body inflammation and in eliminating pain. When added to a healthy diet, these can reduce cholesterol, help in heart health, and aid in lowering blood pressure. There is strong evidence that omega 3's can be beneficial for brain health and depression. Omega-3’s have also been shown to support weight loss, healthy pregnancy, athletic recovery and thickening hair and nails.

4. Eat Whole Foods

When shopping at grocery stores, it is healthy to shop the perimeter of stores focusing on fresh fruits and vegetables in each meal. When eating out it is hard to ensure that proper oils were used during cooking. When eating meals at home, you can ensure that you are adding ingredients that you want and know that are healthy.

5. Stay Hydrated

Hydration is key to overall health and wellness. Water is an important liquid that regulates body temperature, lubricate joints, and helps transport nutrients. Dehydration can leave you with a lot of symptoms including fatigue, dizziness, headaches, and muscle cramps. Most experts recommend half of your body weight in ounces for proper hydration.
